Due to Covid restrictions, the Jackson County Rural Public Transportation (RPT) is limiting the number of riders on each bus. It has adopted the rule "First come, first served." Call for a ride at least one day in advance, no later than 2 p.m. the previous day.

Jackson County RPT provides transportation within Jackson County.
There are no age restrictions for passengers.
Routes begin and end in Jackson County.
FARES
Passengers under 60 years (First Pick-up of day) - $5
Passengers over 60 years (First Pick-up of day) - $4
Each Additional pick-up - 25¢
Children under 12 years - No charge for children under 12
when they accompany their parent at each stop.
Adults must accompany young children and provide their own child seat.
ALL FARES ARE DUE AND PAYABLE UPON ENTERING THE BUS.
Passengers are allowed one (1) “No Show” appointment without penalty. After the second “No Show,” passengers will be required to pay the fare for the missed trip in addition to the fare for the current trip. A “No Show” is defined as making an appointment then not being present at the pick-up point without just cause. Persistent and recurring “no-shows” by a passenger may lead to a suspension or loss of ridership privileges. Each incident shall be evaluated on its own merits.
Parcels must be easily loaded on the vehicle, stabilized, and controlled through the transit trip. Weight limit: 30 pounds. Parcel may NOT occupy more than one additional seat, if available. Parcels that directly or indirectly threaten the safe transportation of the passengers will not be allowed.
PLEASE HAVE CORRECT AMOUNT. DRIVERS DO NOT CARRY CHANGE.

7. No misconduct or abusive conduct toward the driver or other passengers

We strive to provide safe, accessible transportation for the public.
We reserve the right to refuse transportation to passengers
who do not adhere to the rules of the transit system.
Accessible for the Mobility Impaired
Some buses are equipped with wheel chair lifts and tie down stations.
Passengers with disabilities are assisted by the drivers.
